The German machine builder Plasma Electronic is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of PECVD coating systems in plasma technology. The company also manufactures PVD and PEALD coating systems. Plasma technology was mainly developed in the 1960s and 1970s. The industrialisation of plasma technology began in 1980. The company Plasma Electronic has been manufacturing systems for plasma technology since 1982. Initially, simple cleaning systems were set up for small metal components from the electronics industry. The process is very environmentally friendly compared to others and no harmful substances are produced. Furthermore, no official permits are required for the plasma technology plants.
